Steps to make Puffed rice chikki:
  1. Take a pan, put on a slow flame of gas, add murmure, roast till crispy, make sure murmure should not change its colour.
  2. Transfer roasted puffed rice in a bowl. In same pan add jaggery.. Here I used organic jaggery to make chikki more healthy. Keep gas flame slow, stir well, it melts, stir continuously, add 2 tsp water, so jaggery shouldn't burnt, as we have to make crispy syrup.
  3. Add elaichi powder, stir well. Take a dish, pour a little water to check jaggery syrup is done or not. So from spatula pour jaggery syrup in water, wait for a while, if syrup takes any shape and cracks with crispy sound, means it is ready for further process.
  4. Now add ghee and cooking soda, stir well, so jaggery syrup's colour will change in light shade and become fluffy.Quickly add roasted murmure, mix well. Turn off gas.
  5. Grease a kitchen platform with ghee. Transfer hot mixture on it. Flatten with hand or rolling pin.. When it it is little hot, cut in shape. Or you can make balls from it..
  6. Keep to cool completely. Ready to serve delicious Puffed Rice Chikki or balls. Here I made both.. Enjoy anybody, anytime, anywhere..
