The ingredients needed to make Masala Puffed Rice:
  1. Get 250 gms Puffed Rice
  2. Prepare 4 Crushed garlic
  3. Take leaves Curry
  4. Get 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  5. Take 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  6. Make ready 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
  7. Make ready 1/2 teaspoon salt

Puffed rice burn very easily so while roasting use a slightly thick bottom pan. Do not leave the puffed rice unattended on stove, it will burn quickly. Store the masala puffed rice in air tight containers, as they become soggy. Masala Puffed rice can easily last for a month.

Instructions to make Masala Puffed Rice:
  1. Heat a tablespoon of oil in the kadai
  2. Put crushed garlic with skin, curry leaves, turmeric powder,chilli powder, Garam Masala powder and salt.
  3. Then mix the puffed rice well in the kadai and the yummy, crunchy, spicy puffed rice is ready to eat.
  4. Optional: You can mix puffed rice with tomato, cucumber, chopped onions and mint chutney.

Store the masala puffed rice in air tight containers, as they become soggy. Masala Puffed rice can easily last for a month. This masala pori is one such snack made with puffed rice and spices. In Tamil, we call this puffed rice as pori, and in Hindi, we call it as murmura. As wiki says, puffed rice is prepared by heating rice kernels under high pressure in the presence of steam.
