Puffed rice dosa is one of the most popular of current trending meals on earth. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. It’s simple, it is quick, it tastes yummy. They’re fine and they look fantastic. Puffed rice dosa is something which I have loved my entire life.
Puffed rice (Arisi pori in Tamil, Mandakki in Kannada, Murmura/bhel in Hindi, Borugula in Telugu) is the star ingredient for this recipe. As I haven't tried any puffed rice recipes other than Kara pori, I got tempted to try this dosa & tried it on the same day. The Benne Dosa has an enticing texture, which is both crisp and spongy. To get this texture, a portion of puffed rice is included while making the batter of rice and urad.
To get started with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few components. You can have puffed rice dosa using 5 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook it.
The ingredients needed to make Puffed rice dosa:
- Prepare 1 cup raw rice
- Prepare 2 cups puffed rice
- Prepare 1 big spoon Curd
- Prepare to taste Salt
- Prepare Eating soda if required
Grind the coconut and puffed rice first and then add the rice and grind it to a fine batter. Wash the raw rice well and soak in butter milk for half an hour. Grind the rice using the buttermilk. Wash and soak the puffed rice separately.
Steps to make Puffed rice dosa:
- Soak all the ingredients separately for about 6-7hrs..
- Grind the soaked rice and then puffed rice to a fine paste, then add curds and salt..
- Leave it for fermentation over night. Add eating soda if required before putting dosas..
- Goes well with coconut chutney and onion chutney
Grind the rice using the buttermilk. Wash and soak the puffed rice separately. Once ready to grind, drain the puffed rice and add first to the grinder.
